In 2013, our embryo transplant program saw the introduction of new genetics for Nunkeeri Park with the use of Champagne Pretender and Champagne Spots n’ Sparkles embryos from Victorian Stud Champagne Speckle Park at Major Plains. Champagne Speckle Park have been extremely successful in the show ring, Champagne Codiak Pink having won Senior Champion Female at the Royal Melbourne Show in 2011, and Supreme Exhibit in 2010.
Champagne Pretender ET was the 2010 Senior Champion Bull at the Royal Melbourne. He is an excellent example of the Speckle breed. Medium framed, well balanced bull with good feet and legs. Easy doing on pasture with very good IMF and well muscled. Pretender has a beautiful temperament which he has passed on to his progeny. He produces small, fast growing calves and has been used over many cross breeds.
Champagne Spots n' Sparkles CSP D2 is one of Champagne's foundation Speckle dams. Her 2011 bull calf Champagne James Bond 007 is an excellent example of the progeny we can expect from these two matings.
